Human capital: ETSA 2024 | For startups, right talent is human capital, not just human resource: Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal
“If I look back over the last 10 years…keeping talent density very high is becoming much harder. To hire talent and retain them is for you to up your game every time,” Peyush said.
Discussing the role of work culture in shaping a startup’s growth trajectory, he said, “If you can build the right culture and you can figure out a way to attract the best talent and retain them, rest everything can happen.”
In taking startups to the global stage, the key responsibility lies on the talent side and “that is the milestone India needs to cross”, he added.
Bansal was participating in a panel discussion at the Economic Times Startup Awards (ETSA) 2024. The panellists shared insights on the trends shaping the next decade of Indian startups and how companies can stay ahead of the curve.
Subrata Mitra, partner – Accel, and Zepto’s cofounder and CEO Aadit Palicha also participated in the discussion, hosted by this year’s jury chair, Infosys cofounder and chairman Nandan Nilekani.
